Dr. Sapna Poti( Principle advisor to PSA's office) visits to Shenoy Innovation Centre

 We were honored to welcome Dr. Sapna Poti, Director of Strategic Alliances in the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the PMO, for a visit. During her time with us, she engaged in insightful discussions about several of our projects. Dr. Poti showed particular interest in our rocking chair designed for the elderly and Parkinson's syndrome patients, and we had the opportunity to demonstrate its functionality to her. Additionally, she expressed interest in our User-Friendly Vein Tracer and our Maintenance-Free Letterbox, discussing their features and potential impact. It was a privilege to host Dr. Poti and share our innovations with her. We look forward to the possibility of her visiting us again in the future.

SIS took part in TechFest 2023 @ IITB

At this year's Techfest, IIT Bombay's annual science and technology festival, the Shenoy Innovation Studio at IDC School of Design showcased its groundbreaking projects from December 27th to 29th, 2023. Our exhibit drew attention from a varied audience, featuring distinguished individuals such as Shri S. Somanath, Chairman of ISRO, as well as participants from both academia and industry.

Working on products for Parkinson's patients

Shenoy Innovation Studio hosted a remarkable meeting on 11th November 2023 where we had the honor of inviting Doctors, Industry Experts, Research Professors, Innovation Leaders, MEDIC Fellows from BETiC, Patients, and Investors. The purpose was to discuss and explore avenues for taking a student project to market, specifically the one guided by Prof. Purba Joshi last year, focusing on Parkinson's patients.

A delegation from Montgomery County, Maryland, USA visited SIS and other Centres in IITB:

 A delegation consisting of business, academic, and government leaders from Montgomery County, Maryland, USA visited Shenoy Innovation Studio on 2nd November 2023.  Prof. Chakravarthy and team showcased innovative projects undertaken in the studio to the delegation.

Prof. Kannan Moudgalya presented the online course platform.

The Delegation also visited Biomedical Engineering and Technology Innovation Centre (BETIC), IITB and interacted with Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) and Dean (R&D) team.

Shenoy Innovation Studio funded by the Shenoy brothers and set-up at IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay participated in a showcase organised as part of the Golden Jubilee Reunion Celebration for the 1972 batch of IIT Bombay held from November 7-11, 2022 on the institute campus.  

The Projects Design Innovation Center, Open Design School & National Design Innovation Network proposed by the Ministry of Education and set-up at the Shenoy Innovation Studio also exhibited their products and services in the showcase.

Mr. Adnan Ahmed, Deputy Director General (Postal Operations), India Post, visited the Shenoy Innovation Studio on 5th October 2019.

Ms Smita Crishna-Godrej visited Shenoy Innovation Studio, IDC, IIT Bombay

Ms Smita Crishna-Godrej, Godrej Group's had visited Shenoy Innovation Studio on 13th December to see various DIC projects undertaken in the studio.
